You've finally assembled your bridal party, but don't know where to begin with dressing them for the big day. Luckily there are plenty of options at everyone's price range, so follow these steps to choose dresses that will complement your style and their budget.

  1. Figure out if you'll pick the dress or they will Some brides choose to select the dress and inform the bridal party of their choice. A newer option, however, is to provide the bridesmaids with guidance and let them choose. You could pick the dress and send it to them, or give them color and/or style guides and let them shop!

  2. Decide if they will all wear the same one You can choose a uniform look of everyone wearing the exact same dress, or mix it up! Several stores now offer different dress styles in different colors, so you could mix and match.

  3. Confirm if you will gift them or if you will ask them to purchase it While not necessary, some brides opt to pay for the bridesmaids' dresses as a thank you gift or to make it easier for them. Bridesmaids typically know to purchase their own so don't worry about it being awkward asking them to.

  4. Decide on a price range and color Bridesmaids dresses can really range on price depending on where you look to buy them. While stores like Kleinfelds, BHLDN, and Anthropologie carry pricier dresses, Lulus, Azazie, and David's Bridal have options under $100. Once you determine price range, you can sort by color or style depending on your wedding's color scheme and season.

  5. Check delivery timelines Not everyone thinks to check timelines for manufacturing, shipping, and altering dresses, so double check that everyone can get their dress and get alterations before your wedding. While some alterations can take a week, some end up taking months.
